A quick solution until resolved is to add at least one entry in the extended field manually, after that extended fields in manager works as it should. At least for me...

I’ve been having this same problem, in both Chrome and Firefox, in two different installation environments.
Linux / Apache 2.2.16 / MySQL 5.1.52 / PHP 5.2.14
Linux / Apache 2.2.12 / MySQL 5.1.37 / PHP 5.3.0
None of the functions work (Add Attribute / Add Container, or ’Set’ in the editing form on the right). They are all just non-responsive. No error codes though - just... nothing. I saw that there was a bug filed and figured this was a universal problem in 2.0.4.pl2. Is anyone successfully able to use these fields?
