Menutitle instead of Pagetitle in Manager Tree (Revo)

    One of my biggest issues since the beginning is that the Manager tree uses the pagetitle as the name instead of menutitle. The problem with this is that once you start adding your SEO-ready page titles, they get very long and are no longer easily recognizable as the page that you’re referencing.

    In Evolution, I’ve always simply changed the manager code to ask for menutitle and my problem was solved. In Revo, however, this has been a challenge.

    Does anyone know where or how to make this type of change in Revo?

    I would also like to make a motion that this be formally changed in the core, because I can’t imagine a situation where pagetitle would ever be a better choice than menutitle when referencing a page *in the menu*.

      I can - site tree is not "the menu"...

        Making it a setting would be nice. Can you file that as a feature request in: http://bugs.modx.com/ ?

            Mod: Changed $pagetitle to $menutitle - Manager menu now shows pages’ menutitle instead of pagetitle.

              $pagetitle is used afterwards... (and I’m obviously not a coder...)
