REV let users be able to edit own part of site

    I have a website in Revolution.
    Looks like this:

    - Home
- About
- Profile
- News
- Contact

- Members (login)
   - Outdoor
   - Indoor


    The members part has to be privite so this is only visible when ur logged in.
    Thats good possible with package ’Login’.

    The difficult part about this, the Outdoor members need to be able to edit and add pages into the outdoor section.
    The indoor members need to be able to edit and add the indoor section of the website.
    Both indoor and outdoor should not be able to edit the main website pages, only their own section!

    How can I arrange this? is it possible with the Security options (Manage Users / Access Controls / Resource Groups)?
    I’m new to Revolution.

    Any help is appreceated!

        There is still one thing I dunno how to fix.
        I want the backend of a group login users only to be able to see and edit their own pages and not all pages.
        I did made an Resource Group with all pages which they shouldn’t see backend.

        So my question is:
        How can I let a user only see their own pages backend and not all pages?
        (Hiding selected resources on mgr)

          I’ve thought through a similar situation, but only in theory.

          Maybe you could have each person have a custom system setting that allows them to see or not see certain resources?
            You may or may not want to use the code I write. It's probably all against the syntax rules of php and MODx. smiley

            The access policy on resource group access had to be on resource while i had it on load only.
            Now the front-end works.

            The ploblem now is that it seems these users have backend access while i haven’t made any mgr access..
            I want them to have only front-end access ..

            #edit, i finally got the only front-end users to work, probably had to do with the Access Controls > User Groups.

              Ok, i need a user with limited resource backend permission, only 1 page needs to be visible and editable:

              I have set a new account/user for backend, i finally can login but i should see one resource but i see none sad
              I did flush and use other browser.

              What i did :
              - Made one resource / page which has to be editable by the user. (with access permission for User-X)
              - Manage Users > New User > User-X -> Access Permissions -> User-X-permission
              - Resource Groups > Create Resource Group > User-X-RGroup -> Placed the resource page into the group
              - Access Controls > Create New User Group > User-X-Group -> Added User-X to the group
              Update the user Group > Users > Added User-X with role User-X-permission
              Context Access > mgr > User-X role 99 > Access Policy: > Context: Editor
              Resource Group Access > User-X-RGroup > Access Policy: Resource > Context: web (when i set to mgr the one page disapears in admin and also not visible as User-X)

              - Access Controls > Roles > Create new > User-X role 99

              Where did i took the wrong exit? smiley


              I guess i’m struggling with the Access Controls > Content Access > Access Policy
              Do i need to add mgr and web, and with what Access Policy? It’s see all or nothing, and not the page i selected.
