Revo: Can a Snippet replace modResource placeholders?

I have created a Faculty/Staff profile CMP and a few relating snippets. One of the snippets will show all of that faculty’s info like name, title, phone ect. I am taking the approach that this data is handled by custom data fields rather than use lots of TVs in a Resource to create the desired fields. The snippet is called like a normal snippet in the content of a resource. So one resource can display many faculty based on an ID sent in the URL, but only one at a time. I would like to be able to have the snippet override the pagetitle placeholder with the faculty’s name and also override a few other of the Resources placeholders. Is this possible? If so how do I do it?

You could use your own customized Snippet, maybe based on getResources, adding in the joins you need to your custom tables, or simply use a Snippet in the Chunk tpl for getResources that returns the data you need from your custom tables.
