ExtJs Help

Hi guys!

I’m trying to get some things working for me with Modx and ExtJs, but i’m relatively new to it. But i think i got a good shot at it and a lot of stuff working out really fine. But there are still some (maybe basic) questions. I’m sure someone can help me with it.

1) Is there a documentation of the Modx Extension to ExtJs that i didn’t found? I wanted to have a form field for file selection with the Modx filebrowser and i had to work my way through the code to find it. But i found it Now i just wanted to know if it’s possible to specify a default folder path to start in or to set a new root folder to only display that folder and children not its parents.

2) The thing i’m trying to achieve is a backend component. Now i’m having two tabs that should load the same grid but handover different parameters. How can i achieve this? Do i have to register two xtypes or can i somehow pass a parameter?

3) I wan’t to add filters to my grid. That should be no problem i suppose when i take a look at some other code. But maybe there’s some "you-really-must-know-this" about filters you wan’t to tell before i start?

1) From what I could find, the MODx extension of ExtJS are some xtypes or classes (modx-tabs, modx-panel and some mentioned in the Docs).

2) I’m guessing two xtypes.. that will also give you the freedom to change one later if needed.

3) Afraid I didn’t look into that yet, although I should.

1) I know that. What i needed in particular was the xtypes for form-fields and i couldn’t find good information about that. I triying to set a new root for the modx file browser for my field, or at least a default opened path, but i’m not being lucky. Anyone can tell me something about the config opetion prependPath, prependUrl and rootVisible and how to use them?

2) Maybe you are right for some cases. But what i was trying to do is just some filtering but with a tab. I figured out myself and it works fine. It was easy

3) That’s not that difficult as far as i have seen. So far it works fine for me. Just a little display issue on one of my pages where the filters is displayed to much on the right and so only half visible. Strangely this happens in one of the tabs with the same x-type, but just in one of them.

It’s not currently; that will be one of the first features to go in Revo 2.2. The only way to adjust modx-browser’s path currently is through the filemanager_path System Setting.

What do you mean by ’filters’?

Okay, thank you very much. I just meant normal filtering behavior, but i think there’s no "you-really-must-know-this". My filters are working fine so far

The first thing i’ve allready done. How do i give them a different id? I tried with id: ... but didn’t seem to work. A hint?
