Howto create your own Revolution package provider?

Can somebody help me, howto create your own Revolution package provider?

I think that's not yet possible, but will be in a future release.

I would like to know this either.. because we are developing some snippets and plugins special for our own services and it should be very usefull for us to create a repository for that. I have take a look into the current modx provider implementation and I found this URL

http://rest.modxcms.com/extras/repository/

as where the package manager ’categories’ are loaded from but any more information I don’t get it.

If someone has experiance with it or know how to create your own repository, please let me know!

You probably know this already, but you can package all of them into a single transport package with PackMan (or your own build script) and just copy the transport package to core/packages/ on the new site, then do "Add Package" and "Search Locally for Packages" in Package Manager.

Created very simple custom package provider for MODx tested with MODx revolution 2.2.0.

I have created a fully compatible with MODX package provider for my SimpleCart, even with License validation etc.. All in a different context within my website, custom db tables with all data. My out is totally controlled with snippets and chunks.. and I used the github link huksley pasted above ;-) .. unfortunately I "may not" release it as package
