    Hello,

I was wondering whether anybody could tell me how I would need to move a site from etomite to modx or vice versa. How would I have to move the data, especially content groups and content from one CMS to the other.

Thank you in advance for your input.

      what release of Eto?

for Eto 0.6 heliades, i think you can still use the upgrade installation of modx.
Don’t know if is possible from latest Eto to Modx

And I don’t think a migration from MODx to Etomite would work at all.

but there has to be a way to e.g. copy the content from modx to etomite somehow - couldn’t I somehow export the tables and re-import it into etomite?

First, note my disclaimer in the footer.

Second, if your MODx install is pretty bone stock you might have a relatively easy time of going from MODx to Etomite (though frankly, that seems like an unlikely upgrade path). The wrench in the system is that MODx has considerably more tables which involve content data, as well as access control. You’d have to move cautiously I think. Easier to go from few tables to many than from many to few.
