    Hi,

Please advice what’s the best way to create a user support ticket system (like osTicket - www.osticket.com)

(I’m new to MODx and do not know from where would be better to start creating that)

P.S. MODx Team seems to be already done ticket system commercial support?

    Thanks!

Personally, i don’t see the advantage of using a CMS framework like MODx to create a ticket-system? Where’s the CMS part of a ticket-system? The only advantage i can see is the users/roles in MODx that you need, but other frameworks presently offer a more extended ACL functionality imho.

I’m creating a whole website with MODx, with articles, tutorials, downloads, forum, etc.
Ticket system will be just a part of the site.

Yes, I need that existing web-users could deal with tickets without re-registering

Did you ever find a system that can be easily integrated/converted to a MODx plugin? I’m requiring the same thing... so that web users can access hidden parts of the website... plus make job requests, ask for support, etc.

May be create a MODX document per each form submission

& attach a commenting system to it

            Then set this area private
              modx and ecommerce pro

We use Zendesk and they have an option that allows you to handle the authentication there. Ticket systems can very quickly become complex beasts to create and maintain!
