I have created an image-TV with a special base bath set, so that the users can only use a special folder for these images. When you edit the page and want upload an image into this tv, the file browser opens in the folder specified by base path and you cannot neither see nor enter the parent folders, as expected. So far so good.
But when you want to create a new folder here, the dialog suggests / as parent folder and the user can indeed create a new folder there. That will lead to confusion because the new folder is now outside of reach for the user. And the user has to guess the names of the parent folders to create a new folder here.
I guess that’s a bug, isn’t it?
