I’ve seen this before but after upgrading to 2.1.1, I am seeing it constantly on one of the sites.

To reiterate the problem:
When saving resource pages, "saving..." box appears with progressing bar code and it stays. This only happens when saving resources. Does not happen with saving snippets etc.,
It is also isolated to this one site. The other site I also upgraded to 2.1.1pl does not have this problem.
I have refreshed the install twice => problem does not go away. Occurence of the problem is 100%.
The site is hosted by godaddy. PHP version is 5.2.17. Mysql client is 5.0.77
Like the old thread suggested, I can force reload the page and can see changes were actually saved. However, change to the template link does not stick. So as a workaround, I ended up changing the template link in PHPmyAdmin.
It does not appear disabling tinymce have any effect either.
It is somewhat workable as this is my personal site. however, it is appreciated if anybody has any suggestion where else to look into.
Update: I was able to fix this issue by "power reinstalling" the 2.1.1. See the post below
