Anyone got a screen shot of how Manager can be modified for clients?

Hi,

I would like to know much the Manager can be modified/simplified for client usage...could anyone post a screen shot demonstrating tabs created and removed?

Have a look at the last 30 seconds of the video, you’ll see the Access Permissions and Page settings tabs are gone, and some of the resource fields are hidden too.

You can also remove/rename items from the top menu, hide tabs on the document tree (such as Files, Elements), or even hide the whole tree if you wish.

Thanks for the link, that video has explained the form customisation very well.
How do i then hide the top level menu items from users as most are superfluous (i.e, System, User etc etc)?

You can hide parts of the menu if you go to System > Actions: Right-click a menu and then specify a permission.
Don’t forget to add this permission to all usergroups that still should be able to access the menu.

Be sure to give the custom permission to yourself first and flush permissions and sessions, before applying it in System -> Actions or you can paint yourself into a corner.

And, if the menu choice already has a permission, just add a comma and the custom permission (no spaces).
