Problems upgrading from Revo 2.0.8-pl (traditional) to 2.1.1

Hi Guys,

Had the following problem after upgrading but here’s what happened,

Made back up of files & Database (luck I did)
Ftp over folders over original
Followed the update procedure and all went ok
Logged into the manager everything worked as expected (nice and quick)

Went to view my site and it was throwing up an error this was using my own custom template with may TV’s / Snippets / Chunks etc, but when I reverted the page to a basic template it worked fine, i’m guessing that there was/is a problem with some my TV’s as this area seems to have changed quite a bit.
I am using TV to show/hide various chunks of the site so that I only have one template.

Example of my Tv’s
Variable Name : Gallery
Input type : dropDown/List menu
Input Options: Yes==[[$gallarea]]|| No==[[$No]] <!!-- When select will show either chunk gallerea or No
default Value: Yes

This is a typical TV (I have quite a few exactly like this) could this be the reason why its all going skew wiff??

ditto
getresources
reflect
wayfinder

Sorry for the long winded explanation but would really like to upgrade for speed/security reasons?

I’m about to do the same on some of my sites. Have you upgraded your Extras? I think Wayfinder and getResources were specifically upgraded for 2.1

Ditto and Reflect aren’t Revo Extras are they? I’d be surprised if they still worked now the deprecated code has been removed from Revo.

All of my extras were up to date before I upgrades, I then went in and un-installed then reinstalled all of the extras but still have the same problem.

I don’t use either Reflect or ditto but they are showing in my extras?

ahhh might have found the problem, I am using a ditto call and if it has been discontinued then may be the root of my problem??

....it was the ditto call that cocked everything up, all working fine
