Hi, i made a site with modx 1.0 and it all works great. But... I noticed a problem in the menu. I built it using chunks and it works great, except when I go to the contact page. Then the menu links are changed. Home is redirected to index.html and that means the link is changed unwanted, because the name to direct to is different. furter the other links are shown on the bottom of the screen in subdirectories...
Check it out at www.inogenone.eu. I built the used templates in categories. Maybe that is a reason for the changing links on the contact page?
Anybody recognising this problem?
Hi,
It’s hard to say without seeing your chunks and templates.
I have a guess - maybe you had "index" as your alias for the Homepage (that’s the MODx default), you changed it to that ENORMOUS alias that is now working, but you didn’t change a hard-coded chunk somewhere, OR you are using a cached menu call so it’s seeing the old version.
The cached part is this type of thing: [[Wayfinder....]] if you’re using that, maybe try [!Wayfinder.... !]
I would have to question having an enormous URL for the homepage, as it’s so unusual. Might end up with a duplicate content SEO situation, though I’m not an SEO expert.
Good luck, Dave

I’m guessing the pages use different templates, as the markup of the header is also different.
Can you show us the part in your templates that builds your menu? Most likely you’ve hardcoded something, like samba suggested.
It seems that, from the moment you view the contact page, the only page your link is being rendered as right is that page itself. Then it renders alright again on all pages untill you hit contact again.
Really looking forward to seeing how you build your menu....
