Does phpThumbOf package need phpthumb manually installed - it aint working for m

Hi Guys,
If i install phpThumbOf via Package Management and call a TV (named eg. slider_images) using should this display that image as 300*300 or even display it at all?
I have Image Magick and the image output is Text for the image TV - It just aint working on Modx 2.0.8 (php5.2.6, mysql 5, Apache 2). Do I need phpThumb installed somewhere or some other package?

Is this on localhost or on a live server? I found that I couldn’t get phpthumbof to work at all on localhost, but it worked fine when I loaded things onto an external server.

Hi,
i have my site remotely hosted in a subfolder which appears to be the issue. I asked my host and all other phpthumbof requirements are met ie php,imagemagick, symlink, mysql etc...Some threads reports that ur site must be in the root for phpthumboff to work. Crazy! Or else I’m unlucky or dopey!
Surely this wud have been tested in subfolders?
