Symlink fatal error

I have created a symlink on my website, but the link leads to a page with teh following message:;

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare quote_meta() (previously declared in /home/littles/public_html/sites/lsp/core/cache/elements/modplugin/4.include.cache.php:9) in /home/littles/public_html/sites/lsp/core/cache/elements/modplugin/4.include.cache.php on line 9

A weblink to the same resource does work.

I’ve set up both on this page (http://www.littlesphaeroid.com/sites/lsp/index.php?id=17) in the menus "Support" and "Support (2)". The first is a non-working symlink, the second is the working weblink.

What might I be doing wrong?

You have an error in a plugin which is attempting to redeclare a PHP function called quote_meta().

Whew, OK! That’s a relief, except I have no idea what that means or how to track down the error. I’ll make do with the weblink for now.
