Integrating Output from a MySQL Table into ModX

I have a wedding planner site with various categories that clients will advertise on. How can I integrate output from this MySQL table (must be sortable/searchable) into ModX? I will use PHPMaker to generate the PHP/MySQL code.

I wouldn’t recommend the PHPMaker approach with Revolution. You should use PDO or build a custom xPDO model for your tables. Generating your code that way if using Revolution will require a separate connection to the database, even if you put them in the same database container, because it does not use PDO code.

If you are using Evolution, I would suggest using the DBAPI.
