TV values still parsed in templates, even after being disassociated from templat

This is weird behavior... is anyone else seeing this? A page is using Template X with TV [[*my_tv]]. I remove the [[*my_tv]] from the template in the Revo manager, but in my HTML, [[*my_tv]] still gets parsed out with the value that it contained. That just doesn’t seem to be the correct behavior. Is this a bug?

It’s been debated since Revolution was introduced (see http://bugs.modx.com/issues/1852) — but at the current time, a Template Variable will still render it’s default value on Resources with a Template that is not associated with that specific Template Variable.

Thanks Jason. I chipped in my 2 cents on that bug: in a word, I think this should be disabled in favor of system settings.

To be clear, the values that are coming through are not just the default values for the TV, they are the values that were there when the TV was associated with the resource. I was going out of my mind trying to figure out how to edit this particular bit of text I was seeing on the front-end and for the life of me I couldn’t find it in the manager.
