I just logged in to my modx Revo (Most recent) for the first time in a bout a month or so, and noticed when I went to my Elements tab that all of my Categories are missing. I went to the homepage and the website is still functioning properly, so obviously these files still exist, but I cannot see them for some reason? I tried creating a new category, and selecting a parent for it but it said None, so I made a new test category under Chunks and saved it, it refreshed but the category wasn’t there.
What has happened and how can I fix it, most of my code is organized into categories under chunks, so not being able to get at any of it is a real hassle as you can imagine. Any help/suggestion greatly appreciated.
Have you created an Element Category Access ACL entry? That’s the most likely explanation.
The easiest solution is usually to add yourself to every user group with a role of admin Super User.
