Label field in FC sets

Is my understanding correct that editing the "label" field for a given label in an FC set should change the display text next to that field when (adding/editing) a resource using the affected template?

I changed the label for ’pagetitle’ to Policy Title in an FC set that is otherwise responsive to my customizations, but when editing resources I still see "Title" as the display text for that field. Is this a bug? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Works for me. What version of MODX? Can you give more info about the FC Set/Profile?

I’m using 2.0.8pl traditional. My FC profile is pointed at one specific user group, but the ’create’ & ’update’ sets within it do not have any constraint set. I have moved all of the TVs to the main tab (modx-resource-settings), removed visibility on other tabs, removed visibility on certain fields (including the content field), and those customizations are all working. But changing the ’label’ value for ’pagetitle’ and ’longtitle’ (the only fields I’ve tried changing the label on) isn’t working.

Have you tried disabling everything except one set that just renames the field?

(p.s. I just tried this on 2.1.0 without issue.)

I tried that, and it seems to be pretty consistent. I can change the label on my TVs, and I can change tab labels. Just not the standard form fields. Basically, in the ’set’ form, all of the fields appearing on the ’Set Information and Fields’ tab are behaving this way. Visibility and default values work, but label changes do not.
