    Hi there,

I was playing with a plugin to do context switching on request, and seem to have managed to block the manager from loading! This isn’t an ACL issue, rather something with my plugin code.

I’ve fixed the plugin code in the DB using PhpMyAdmin, but the changes don’t seem to have propagated to the site - I’m guessing this is a caching issue? Any ideas how I can clear it?

    Cheers,

    DM

Just a quick update - fixed the problem by modifying the plugin cache file in "\core\cache\includes\elements\modplugin" - however when this file was simply deleted it was re-created in the incorrect format - I assume it pulled from another cache layer?

The source of the element is cached in scripts/elements/modPlugin/

You can also just clear the cache in the manager...

          Hi Opengeek,

My plugin seemed to prevent me from loading the manager.

Is there fail safe in place because I’m suprised the erroneous cached file was recreated after it was deleted manually.

I explained in my previous reply — the source code of the plugin is also cached in a separate location. In MODX Revolution you can delete the contents of the cache directory and ALL the cache files will be recreated on demand.
