[solved]Where does modx revo store the database username and password?

I want to back up an instance of revo.
I’ve forgotten the database username and password that this instance is using.

I guess that revo keeps a copy of these details in order to access the db that drives it.


Which file would these details be kept in?

You really need to keep track of all such information. I have it in a folder on a USB drive as well as a hardcopy notebook. Registrar information, hosting, databases, MODx, email accounts.

True.

I thought I’d actually recorded the credentials for this particular site in a notes file. This is what I usually do.
But, with so many sites to administer, sometimes some records get lost.

better use something like lastpass.com or some other encryption enabled notetaking tools... what happens if someone gets access to your plain text notes?
