getResources is using default TV values, not actual

What I am trying to do is output the rendered full content of a Document via getResources.

I am doing it like so:



’module_two_tab’ has a number of TVs, that are being assigned in resources 43 and 44.

The chunk (module_two_tab) gets outputted, however it uses the default values of its TVs, instead of the ones that 43 and 44 assigned.

Any ideas?

That is not the purpose of getResources. It is for summarizing portions of the content from many Resources; portions that are not dynamic based on the request being made for a specific page and/or with specific request variables.

If you want the full output of the page somewhere else, use a SymLink Resource.

Are we any closer to having Symlinks that work across contexts?

I read in another post on the subject that you have a work around - any chance you can give us a steer?

@OpenGeek- what I am trying to do is fully output a Document as part of another Document. Basically, we have customizable "modules" that are documents in themselves, and they get loaded in to a sidebar of another Document.

Do you have Template Variable tags in the content field or whatever fields you are outputting from the getResources tpl? If so, those are going to be processed as Template Variables for the Resource you are currently requesting in the browser. The Template Variable placeholders for getResources, e.g. [[+tv.MyTVName]], are for rendering the Template Variable values/output from the specific Resource the getResources is outputting to the tpl. But if the [[+content]] or [[+introtext]] or whatever you output in the tpl returns regular Template Variable tags, e.g. [[*MyTVName]], then those are not going to be the values for the summarized Resource.
