from url structure

I cannot seem to find any help on this matter. I just installed and set Modx up and am using FURLs. When I navigate to a subpage, the I see:

http://www.provoswimacademy.com/index/swim-lessons/

when I only want to see

http://www.provoswimacademy.com/swim-lessons/

How do I get the /index to go away?

Never mind. I found the problem. I had made each section of my site a child to the homepage rather than leaving it as a child to nothing. Problem resolved.
