Hi there,
I’m looking to develop cross context symlinks but my understanding is that this is currently not supported.
Would I be right in thinking that this is a permissions issue? Is it possible to solve with a plugin that grants permission if the target resource (i.e. the content being linked to) is in a specified context?
Cheers,

Hey DangerMouse1981!
I realize this response is almost 6 1/2 years after your OP, but if you still have questions about this rabbit-hole, let me know! (Take the red pill and I'll show you how I accomplished this myself!) (LOL Matrix reference haha)
The solution involves using XRouting (
https://modx.com/extras/package/xrouting) and making sure that you have properly set-up your domain contexts (
https://docs.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/contexts/creating-a-subdomain-from-a-folder-using-virtual-hosts)
Let me know if you still have any more specific questions, and I'd be happy to walk you through the steps I went through to make this work!
Cheers, Chris (c5j4k5)
