Ultimate Parent?

Is there a way to get the ultimate parent in Rev without using a snippet? I wondered if it’s like phx and a built in function.

Well if you have several levels in something like Wayfinder and you want to use one template but different menu templates per sub level you’re going to need to know which is Ultimate Parent, Parent etc. There’s only so many template options with Wayfinder so the deeper you go in to documents the menu changes if you do have a complex menu. So rather than create another template or whatever, use the option to know what is the ultimate parent, parent or child.

Maybe there is a way to do it with javascript. You can setup level numbers in wayfinder and then use javascript to generate html.

You can also build a custom snippet.

Is there a way to get the ultimate parent using the rev objects or does it require a snippet to be written?

I was wondering if you can achieve it using [[*parent:something]]?

there isn’t a build-in tag, output-filter to get the ultimateParent.

you have to use the snippet ’ultimateParent’

I searched for ultimate in the package area and no results were found but it appeared after I searched the full name! It’s working great.
