Old extras provider URL seems down due to website changes

Same problem here. 2 Previous installations (2.07 and 2.08) had no problems grabbing necessary packages. Now it’s borked.
I managed to get TinyMCE, but it fails with everything else. Posted solutions didn’t help.

Revo 2.0.8-pl traditional
Win2k Server (dev)
PHP 5.2.1
MySQL 5.1.32-community
MySQL client version: 5.0.51a
pdo_mysql = yes
Firefox 3.6
No caching

Error log shows :

As mentioned above. No problems with package management with 2 previous installations. Managed to tget TinyMCE, all else fails.

Sorry I don’t even know what cURL is/does or why I would need it. Is it a new requirement for MODx since whatever was changed recently? Was never a requirement for anything...ever. Hence first I heard of it.

If this helps, here’s what happens:

-When I click the Download Extras button, the screen loads normal.

-When I click to expand ’Extras’, the tree menu gets replaced with "An error occurred while connecting to the provider: MODx received a blank response from the provider. Please double check your service URL and make sure the provider is a valid provider". I can expand ’Front End Templates’ and ’Manager Templates’ without issue.

- If I select Wayfinder from the ’Most Popular’ list (I can’t access/find/search for Wayfinder otherwise) I get the same error as above in place of the table data (download button etc).

-Other packages seem to display in the table as expected so it seems just Wayfinder thats failing.

Oh, the service URL is http://rest.modx.com/extras/

One last point...on another install of Revo 2.0.7, I now have this same problem. I didn’t prior to whatever was changed on your end recently.

This all seems to work fine for me(2.0.8) but my service URL is http://rest.modxcms.com/extras i.e different to yours.

Everything all seemed to work for me up until some update was done.

It’s more than just Wayfinder Im finding out. getResources also fails (when clicked directly from Most Popular list). getResources is made available in the table if I select Ditto from Most Popular. Who knows why that is. *shrugs*.

I haven’t gone through all 145 packages but Im sure others don’t work either.

I get the same error with either of these now:

I guess this will stay broken so I’ll update the old fashioned way.
