      Probably not for a while; 2.2 most likely. ExtJS4 breaks a lot of things from 3 in terms of CSS and application layout, which will take a lot of work to integrate into MODX. Also, we can’t "sneak" it in to a patch release as that would break current Extras compatibility; and I doubt we’ll have long enough to mess with it before 2.1 comes out.

        @splittingred

        ExtJS has a compatibility layer (not yet out) in order to let Ext 3 applications work with Ext 4.
        It might be interesting to test it ?

        Oh, and great news btw: Tree are switching from treeLoaders to Stores in ExtJS !

          I know integrating ext4 is hard but shouldn’t this be done sooner rather than later. If we wait another year or 2 I’m sure the number of extras will double and the switch will be harder. Currently there are only a few people building extras and most of them can probably make the switch to ext4

          This feels like when mootools decided to change APIs in the 1.2 branch and this probably why Evo still runs on 1.12 branch

          Just my 2 cents...
