2.0.8 locks up, can't reinstall using Upgrade or Advanced

Upgraded from 2.0.7 to 2.0.8 and the site was running OK. Then while working in the Manager the software locked up. (Edited to say - as best i can recall i was saving a chunk when it locked).

Now i can’t login - get blank screen (http://localhost/modx/oldsaltz/manager/ in url but screen is blank)

I can’t reinstall using upgrade choice - goes to Installation summary page OK, then blank screen (http://localhost/modx/oldsaltz/setup/index.php?action=install in url but screen is blank)

If i try an advanced installation the installation doesn’t allow me to Test database server connection and view collations (it just ignores the link).

locally phpMyAdmin runs fine and i can login to other local MODx sites.

Have you checked your server logs?

No, i didn’t think of that. Thank you for the idea. I will do that next time.

I finally gave up and did a new installation.

Maybe you db got corrupted. If it happens again try a repair from phpMyAdmin.
