Not likely; what weirdness is this you speak of? Are you making sure to use the full scheme option when creating a URL for sendRedirect() with makeUrl()? IE and some other browsers don’t like relative paths in location header redirects.
Nothing I can reproduce, but I’ve been seeing more than the usual amount of issues on the Forums with forwarding users to other pages in the last few releases and I experienced it with one of my own snippets where a full scheme didn’t help. I ended up forwarding to index.php?id=$id because I couldn’t get makeUrl() and sendRedirect() to work reliably.
Do you know what version introduced $context->makeUrl()? I remember I suspected the code there at the time.
