Just one catch, the first page of the manager’s window is suggesting that the value for register_globals is on when, in fact, it is not. I’d like to thank whoever had the idea of making the warning collapsible. I just find myself wondering if there’s any modx code that works differently because it thinks register_globals is on.
Anyway, Here’s what I’ve got.
MODx Revolution 2.0.7-pl (advanced)
Server: FreeBSD 8.2 w/ Apache
PHP: 5.2.17
Mysql: 5.5
Browser: Firefox 3.6.13 and Google Chrome 9.0.597.98

It wont work differently, but as it possible opens up otherwise safely locked loopholes it’s being checked for.
Your phpinfo() indeed looks fine. Could contact your host and ask them?
The catch is, I am tech support for the host. Admin and I are both stumped.

register_globals can be on for some directories and off for others. Does that phpinfo() file give you the same result in the MODx root and in the /manager and /core directories?

I tried it in the two directories you suggested, #commenting out the lines from manager’s .htaccess file briefly so php would run, register_globals is off in /, /manager, /core and for good measure it’s off in /components and /assets too.
About this point, I’m getting tempted to take my /*shotgun*/ and go code hunting... :’(

I think these tests are isolated somewhere... PHPUnit tests I think. So if the tests are incorrect for your server configuration, that’d make for a great improvement request / bug report.

You also need one in connectors/ which is why the warning shows up...
