link back to parent resource does not use friendly urls

I am using Revo 2.0.7. As stated in the Revo documentation I can use this code to link to the parent of the current document:


But, even though friendly urls is true, this creates a link to a url like mysite.com/21

It doesn’t make sense because if I hard-code it as:


I get a link like mysite.com/my-page.html

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Try edit the alias field.

Thanks Cipa, the alias fields are all filled in so that does not appear to be the issue.

Are you sure you set up FURL correctly in the configuration

Look at the Use Friendly Aliases setting and make sure it’s on Yes. There are a lot more settings you might want to activate

I have double-checked to make sure the Friendly URL settings are configured properly. Again, hard-coding the parent ID works perfectly, using the parent content field tag does not. Shouldn’t they both produce the same result?

Okay, now I am realizing this has to do with resources whose parents are weblink resources. I use weblinks to point the top level container to the first page in that container. The parent tag is working fine, I just need to improve my weblinks.
