Hi, I am installing revo 2.0.7-pl on a host I have not used before, but setup is stalling on the ’Connection Information’ page.
When I click on "Test database server connection and view collations." nothing happens and it shows javascript:void(0);
so I can’t do anything except click on the ’back’ button.
Web Developer 1.1.9 shows
error: syntax error in line 9 of
/setup/assets/js/ext-core.js
which is a very long line
and it seems to be complaining about a full stop . after an open and close brackets
- lack of or presence of - I don’t know javascript.
My Environment:
Modx Version 2.0.7-PL - Traditional Installation
Server OS Linux CentOS
MySQL version 5.0.91-community, client is 4.1.22
Apache version 2.2.14
PHP version 5.2.11
pdo_mysql is installed
Browser is Firefox 3.6.13
eAccelerator 0.9.5.3 is enabled but neither caching nor optimizer are enabled.
Tried various things to fix this. In the end I copied a new /setup/assets/js/ext-core.js on to the server
and it ran through OK
- but I’m not totally convinced that that was the cause of the problem.
I am using Filezilla for ftp and have no reason to think anything was corrupted on upload...
did you try uploading just the zip file and extracting the files on the server?
