    Hello,

Basically I’m a new user to MODx (as of 2 hours ago) and I’m trying to learn how to use the progam alone, which is proving to be interesting as I haven’t done html since I was 12. And never even heard of PHP codes until... an hour ago! (I’ve got a journalism degree!)

anyway, the website I’m managing has already been created, I was just asked by my employer if I could find some way of changing the sidebar menu from opening when a cursor goes on it, to make it so that you have to click to open the menu?

In my defence, I have googled before resorting to ask here smiley I am yet to find a tutorial on something this specific.

    I would appreciate anyone’s help.

I think that JQuery would be the solution you need. If it’s been a while since you have done HTML that JQuery will probably seem intimidating. Before doing anything, I would strongly suggest going through the free training courses at W3Schools. To start, you could do the XHTML training course, which should give you enough foundational knowledge to pick up the rest. http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/default.asp

Once you have that down..here is a link with a tutorial on the effect (I think) you described.. http://www.viget.com/inspire/simple-jquery-solution-to-a-simple-problem/
