Assets Components path seems to be wrong

I finished building a site and wanted to final check a used background image and what I found out is that the path where it is saved seems wrong.

http://www.domain.com//assets/components/mydefault/css/images/background.jpg

There is a double forward slash after the domain name.

in my stylesheet I use "backround:url(images/background.jpg) etc etc.

Is this a mistake in a systems setting somewhere?

How do you refer to the assets path when you link your image ?
You should not have a trailing slash before "assets/components/mydefaut/etc..."

Found it.. thanks, your remark made me wake up again ;-) I forgot that I used [[++site_url]] for this project and that it brings it’s own / at the end.
