filemanager_path overide in Template Variable

Hello,

Is is possible to overide the filemanager path via a property in a template variable.
I would like to have a file tv open the modx browser in a certain subfolder. I don’t
want to use the system settings property because I want this setting to be diffrent
for multiple tvs.

I set the filemanager_path and filemanager_url in the properties tag of a tv. I began
the path with "assets" without the begining slash so it looks like: "assets/foldername/subfoldername/"

It does not load in the subfolder and I have tried different path combinations.
Any ideas?

I don’t know if that will work or not, but filemanager_path should be a full path from the server root (it’s not a URL).

If it doesn’t work, it’s a good feature request.

TV-specific input options, such as filemanager_path for each TV, does not currently work. It is planned in a Feature Set that we’ll introduce in a future release (that’s already been developed, mostly), called "TV Input Options". It will allow you to have configurable options for the inputs of TVs - not just the output.

This will give a *ton* of power to TVs. Coming soon.

@ splittingred can’t wait to see this it sounds great. Just curios if you will indulge me... Do you think this will be a 2.0.7 release or more of a 2.1 or later release.

Since 2.0.7’s already out....nope.

It will most likely be in 2.1, otherwise, 2.2. I’ve got Image TV’s working with custom paths; working on file TVs now. And then I still have to respect a fallback to filemanager_path (which falls back to base_path) if the TV-specific basePath isn’t set. It’s all very complicated.

Good call on 2.0.7. Sound complicated. Thanks for adding this feature it will really help me out.
