Hello wonderful revolution programmers. Quick question.
When I was developing my site locally, the filemanager_path and filemanager_url settings didn’t need to be changed as everything was at the root of the web server. Now that I have moved the site to it’s new location I need help with a couple of configuration settings.
MODx is installed at /home/user/public_html/. When I would look at the file manager, it would start it’s directory tree at /home/user, so I’d have to click into public_html to browse the web server files. This wasn’t really a big issue, until I noticed that the previews of my TV images weren’t working any more. the values for these TVs were "images/some_image_name.jpg" and the new host couldn’t resolve that, because it was trying to find /home/user/images/some_image_name.jpg.
After updating filemanager_path, the directory listings look great, but now when I choose the image that I want for my TV from the file chooser, the final value is public_html/images/whatever.jpg. this of course, doesn’t work in the final website and the web host starts at public_html.
Any help on these settings?
A hack that I thought up would be to just run all my TV values through a snippet that removes "public_html/" from the values so that it works both in the manager and on the front end, but I’d rather not do that.
