Error moving revolution to a new host

I’ve moved my modx site from one host to another. I followed the steps here: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server
except i do not have shell access on the new host, so i uploaded all the files via FTP. All the hidden files we moved though, so it seems like it shouldn’t matter.

After updating the config file, and uploading the DB, the front facing site is viewable, but I get no output when i point the browser at /manager. Nothing shows up on the host error log, and I can’t see the modx logs unless I log into the manager.

Any ideas?

To all those that wondered what happened, the conf file was missing a sub directory.

$modx_manager_path= ’/path/to/site/root/manager/’;

should have been

$modx_manager_path= ’/path/to/site/root/public_html/manager/’;

I wonder if instead of the page dying silently, there could be something that is displayed instead? Something like, "file not found, please check your modx_manager_path"?
