Manager suddenly doesn't display fully?

Yesterday everything was working fine, today I log into the manager, but there’s only one navigation item across the top (Home). Nobody else has access to the backend, and the account I logged in with is the administrator so I should have full access to everything. All of the files in FTP appear to be there. Yesterday I installed a few packages, namely getPages and Archivist.

Any clues???

Also, I don’t know if this is related, but yesterday this was also working. On the homepage I have two sections for Events, recent and upcoming. Underneath each of those, I have two events. Yesterday, they displayed on the homepage fine. Today, I changed nothing and they are no longer displaying. See graphic below:

Note: If you’re posting about a bug, please state all of your Environment information in your post: Version of MODx, Traditional or Advanced distribution (for Revo), Server OS, Server Version, PHP Version, MySQL Version (client and server), is pdo_mysql installed, your Browser type and version, if you are using any opcode caching such as eAccelerator, APC, winCache, xCache, etc; any relevant errors in core/cache/logs/error.log, and any other environment data we should know. I’ve sometimes had portions of the manager disappear when I changed permissions on the server... e.g. if the manager couldn’t read/write to a certain directory, portions of the manager would choke.

It may not be strictly kosher, but if you’ve got you site backed up, you may want to upload the setup directory for your install and try "upgrading" your site -- this wouldn’t upgrade anything per se, but the setup does some thorough checking of permissions, so it may be worthwhile to run your site through its paces to see if there are any problems with your files/folders.
