[SOLVED] Your connection to this server has been blocked in theserver firewall.

well the name says it all.

i was trying to edit a particular chunk with external css links and it didnt saved no matter how i tried.
i tried a different chunk ( the footer) and it did fine
went back to the css chunk to quick duplicate it, then i got a loop of infinite saves
and bang:

blocked from my own server by servers firewall.
now i dont have access to my server nor my email...

oh well... ticketing the hosts server for appealing of an unban...

rev 2.0.5 pl (with latest config.)
had some problems trying to install and desintall 3party components (getresources, wayfinder, etc...), tried 3 times a clean install and still no automatic download from modx manager of this components.

ps: i had a lot of "jonhson" (???) php alerts and tinymce alerts in error log.


is modx for me or am i just having a bad day?

sadly after trying step by step every option in that document (except the php call) the result was the same.

got blocked every time i:

tried to create a chunk/snippet (it seems something is blocking the connection) (although creating categories, tv, templates works fine)

i cant no matter how i tried go beyond this line, every new chunk / snippet makes me block for like 20 min.
i reinstall and reinstall went through rev205 back to rev204 again and every time is as it is written above.

the error log doesnt show anything and there was no 3rd party components installed.
along with this issue i cant even download from 3rd party contents online (it just friezes as i click download)

i really like modx, ive been reading for like 2 weeks to get familiar with it, trying in a mamp envirement, and all went well, i was able to make a working structure in like 4 hours (mamp)

any last resource i can try or fix to solve this out?

I would file a ticket with the hosting service. If they can’t help, you may have to find another host.

that was exactly what i did, but their answer was a bit delayed.

it seems this was due to a mod_security issue, they fixed it and modx is fully working now.
i can carry on modxing.
