Database Update errors

    Hello,

    I’m trying to upgrade from 2.0.4-pl to 2.0.5-pl.

    I’m getting these errors:
    Installation Summary

    Errors were encountered during core installation. Please review the installation results below, correct the problems and proceed as directed.

      )

    Successfully upgraded table for class modUserProfile
    Changed `comment VARCHAR(255)` field to `comment TEXT` on table ``modx_user_attributes``.

    Config file successfully written.
    Config file permissions successfully updated.

      I have exactly the same errors when trying to update vom 2.0.4pl2 to 2.0.5... what is the reason for that? In the installer it also says (on the green top bar) modx revolution 2.0.4pl2...maybe somebody forgot to update that text?

            Not quite sure yet, maybe I’m doing the whole upgrade process wrong? Just for the protocol: Do I need to upload everything in the modx-2.0.5pl archive to the server and overwrite every old file (from 2.0.4pl2) on the server or do I only upload the "setup" folder from the archive? What happens to the downloaded packages, do I have to reinstall them after the upgrade? How to "selective" Not-Override things like config.inc.php or the components or assets folder? (I usually use FileZilla...)

              I replaced

              with

              Overwrite every old file (not just the setup folder). All the downloaded packages will remain in tact. If you want to exlude uploading certain files / folders you could just delete them locally before uploading the entire folder. You don’t need to do that though because uploading the new files won’t delete / overwrite anything you’ve added (like new templates, packages, etc.) Also, "/core/config/config.inc.php" is not in the download, so it won’t be overwritten. The only thing that would overwrite is if you edited some of the files that are included in the download package.
