    Hello all

    I want to use something that depends on JQuery version 1.4.1 but I notice that ModX already adds a link to jquery-1.3.2.min.js into templates it renders.

    Is it possible to change this? Will it break anything?

    Thanks!

    Mat

      Hi,

      It’s from the QuickManager plugin and it won’t break anything.

          QuickManager+ adds jQuery to the template only if user is logged in the manager. You can control this and many more settings at QuickManager+ plugin configuration. QuickManager+ works just fine with the latest jQuery version.

            Since I’ve become very fond of jQuery I almost always include it in my template, so I configure QuickManager to not load it on the front-end.

              Thanks again.

              Think I’m going to configure it in the template and turn it off in QuickManager (which I’ve yet to use but shall investigate soon!)

                Even if you don’t turn it off, it will work because QuickManager is using jQuery in noConflict mode.

                var $j = jQuery.noConflict();

                The only "problem" is that the manager user’s browser will download 2 versions of jQuery instead of one.
