I have tested this now on 1.03 and 1.04, and I also tried the different versions of TinyMCE that ships with these packages, and I also tried without Richtext.

My problem is that EVERY time I save a page that contains double quotes ", the document parser adds an escaping character in front of the double qoute so after a while I get a line looking like \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"

    Why is this?

It only happens on one site though, and the installs are updated from 0.9.6.3

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers
    Amrit

Sounds like you have magic_quotes enabled on the server, and it should be disabled.

        Hi rthrash.

Indeed you are right, it should be off, but that webhost is rather quirky and they enabled magic quotes for some unknown reason.
I could atleast turn it off so now it works perfectly again.

        Thanks
