Hide resource from menus - default value

  Hi all.
  Could anybody explain me how to make a new document be invisible in menus by deafault. See the checkbox "resource_hide_from_menus" in a create/edit Document page. Revo 2.0.4

  There should be a System Setting for this, IMO, but I can’t find one.
  
  You could do it with a plugin tied to the OnDocFormSave event. I think this would do it (untested):
  
  

  if ($mode' == modSystemEvent::MODE_NEW) {
      $resource->set('hidemenu','1');
  }

  Meanwhile find out more elegant solution:
  1. Create the new Form Customization Rule.
  2. Set:
  

  
  
  • Action: resource/create
  • Name: hidemenu
  • Containing panel: modx-panel-resource
  • Rule: Field default value
  • Value: 1
  • other params are optional

  
  Real Flexibility should say.

  Sorry, I should have written OnBeforeDocFormSave.
  
  But you’re solution is a better one and you can set a constraint so that it only hides the children of certain parents.
