Guys,
I want to change the [[*pagetitle]] by a snippet.
What is the best trick?
I’ve tried:
<?php
$this->modx->resource->set('pagetitle', $newPageTitle);
But it was only changed after the page completed.

Could you do it in a
plugin, listening to something like the OnWebPagePrerender event?
OnWebPagePrerender may be too late. OnParseDocument may be better, but according to the documentation it gets called once for each element, so you may need to do a bit of checking.

How about just using a placeholder tag [[+MyPlaceholder]] rather than [[*pagetitle]] in your template and setting the placeholder in your snippet:
$modx->setPlaceholder('MyPlaceholder', 'whatever');

Or similarly, set the placeholder in a non-cacheable Snippet and then make the value of pagetitle be [[!+MyPlaceholder]]

Yes; you can specify any tag as non-cacheable in Revolution.
