[REVO] Interface glitch?

Hi There, some of my Template Variables aren’t showing as rich text even though they are. Check the screengrab! Is this a known ModX glitch? or a TinyMCE problem?
They were working fine until I started categorizing them as to make it easier for the front user with the Tab Navigation in the template variable. Now, all the uncategorized ones won’t show as rich text, nor some of the categorized....

is there a solution for this?

Anyone experienced this before? and is there a way to solve this? The user would not have idea of how to add content if the tinyMCE is not there.

I cannot find the issue, all in system setting as well as package management seems to be ok. My tinyMCE is up to date. but It is not showing in quite a few rich text TV. It works without problem in the resource content. Has anybody have a problem similar to this? some of them show alright, some other don’t...

I don’t think I can spot any problem with the tinyMCe in the core logs error file.

Is this a known bug? It is important that this should work ok, without a WYSIWYG having a CMS has no purpose for a user that is not familiar with html or css...


-- Nevermind I think it is a cache issue!! I can log in from IE or Safari and it is ok. I’ve emptied the cache in FF several times, the browser and the ModX but still I see the problem in FF. I’ll post if I sort it out..

I have read that FF does not always clear its cache when you tell it to.

Thanks a lot but I’m on an apple mac. I use windows with Parallels but only to check IE.

FYI, you can always just delete everything in the core/cache directory except index.php.

I am also having the same problem. It occurs for me when I have more than two Rich Text template variables assigned to one template. It will load TINY MCE just twice. In one instance I have a template with at least 5 or more rte template variables. I do this to allow the admin to be able to format his own text in more than one assigned areas in the template....

I cannot see any index.php in core/cache

does not allow me to change permisions in the cache folder either... is there any other method to delete the cache? every time I try to delete the cache with FF, IE or Safari the console does nothing...

the client is also experiencing the issue via IE.

Any help with this? shall I report it as bug through Jira?



---- ALSO, just managed to delete Cache form safari, but the issue persists. I’m thinking it may not be a Cache issue after all, but that just you can only have a limited number of TinyMCE in your RTE TV. Can anyone confirmed this? is it intentional?

It works fine for me in ff 3.6.12 on Vista (even without clearing the cache). Be sure you have the TV’s output type set to default and the input type set to rich text. The document’s rich text setting does influence the size and complexity of the RTE for the TVs.

I’m using the current version of TinyMCE and MODx 2.0.5 (git) so it’s possible that there is a bug in your version of MODx.

The problem for me is intermittent. It occurs with the latest firefox and IE8 on Windows 7. You’ll have good days and bad days with it. This problem occurs on different machines and with different users. Has this been reported as a bug??
