    HI guys,

I’m running MODx 2.0.2pl for a client, and their host decided their site needed to be moved to a different server, meaning the server-path got altered. I’ve looked up all paths in the database and in config.inc.php, and changed them all, but still i get this error when opening MODx:

Could not find action file at: /home/sites/site17724/web/manager/controllers/default/welcome.php

site17724 is the old server-folder, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Any thoughts on where I might find this last setting?

    Thanks!

    Best,

    Steven

      Hi,

I won’t be of any use for manually locate this last setting, but i know the easier way to move your install is to run setup (in upgrade "mode") after the move.
I did try to manually do the changes, but had troubles then with the package manager. All went fine after the "upgrade" process.

      I hope this helps.

Normally I would, but this installation is botched (TinyMCE-bug), last time I tried to update it the install lost the wysiwyg editor, and I had to have the hosting-provider revert a backup...

Contact your host, they should help you solve this issue since it was their doing and if they didn’t notify you or your client about the move then I really don’t think you should use them as a host.

Have you tried manually creating the folders and inserting the welcome.php page in it? I know it’s not right but try that if you need to get the site working, then work on an upgrade install which seems like the only real solution to fix this issue.

          Good luck.

Well, this isn’t the first quagmire with the current host, and they’re not exactly helpful. The proper folder is there, it’s just that the server-path is wrong, the site#### folder has been changed. I thought I had everything about covered, but apparently I missed this one. Anyone from the dev-team thoughts on where this last piece might be?

Upload the setup directory for the version you are running and run it in upgrade mode. This should help you resolve any paths that are still botched. Or run through http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server for hints.
