    Hello, I want to send dates to the database as a timestamp so I can use the information easier with PHP and I know I can do this to achieve what I want but it actually shows the timestamp in the current select box. If you click the dropdown you see the calendar as you should but the timestamp shows as well, this isn’t going to be understandable to the user or be able to tell which date is selected. I know this is a Extjs thing, just wondered if there’s a way to send a timestamp but still understandable to the user?

    {
    xtype: 'datefield',
    name: 'releasedate',
    fieldLabel: 'Release date',
    allowBlank: false,
    width: 250,
    format:'U'
    }
