    Message translated from Spanish:
Hello, my server will not let me upload files larger than 4 mg, ue asiq core.transport.zip file will not let me upload. Is there a file "core.transport.zip" that would be smaller than that size?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don’t speak Spanish smiley

Did you download the Advanced distribution? If so, try downloading the Traditional distribution - this has the core uncompressed so the individual files will probably be smaller.

But in the Advanced version the file is the same, my server will not let me upload files larger than 4mb. I need the file "core.transport.zip" 4mb smaller.

OK, I didn’t realise that both distributions include the core.transport.zip file.

I could be wrong, but I don’t believe the Traditional installation method needs this file, as the "core/packages/core" directory is already present. Therefore you *may* be able to get away with uploading the Traditional distribution minus the core.transport.zip file.

If I am wrong, another thing you *may* be able to do is to download the Advanced distribution, extract the core.transport.zip file locally, upload everything (except core.transport.zip since it’s been unpacked) to your server, then run setup.

When you see the "core has been manually unpacked" checkbox, check it.

See the Advanced Installation Instructions for more details.

After setup is completed, feel free to delete the core transport package (and it’s extracted directories, though if you did an upgrade there is some data being preserved in there for you, though our processes don’t yet make use of that preserved data). But it is required to run setup and if you ever need to run setup for some reason, it’s nice to be able to simply upload the setup directory and run an upgrade to get everything restored.

I thought disk space was cheap now, but again, feel free to remove these files after setup.

FWIW, if you can’t upload files larger than 4Mb, I would find a different host or perhaps try Evolution. Revolution is more powerful, but it requires a little more power under-the-hood than Evolution did; it has a little more solid frame...

Also note that the extracted core/ directories in Traditional do not include ALL of the files stored in the core.transport.zip since they are provided already extracted into the default locations, e.g. manager/, connectors/, index.php, etc.

Finally, we are looking for ways to reduce the footprint of the core transport in the future. Let us know if you have suggestions or ideas for such improvements.
