    Hi all,
I’m trying to restrict a users access to the file tree to a specific folder inside the assets folder (using modx-2.0.4-pl2.
    I’m using the following settings:
    key: filemanager_path
    value: assets/sh_assets

assets is in the root of the Modx installation.

But all the user sees is a folder called "Dateien" (German -> files). Nothing happens on click onto the folder.
the user has file_tree and file_manager rights.

    What am I missing?

I’m not sure, but try setting is to assets/sh_assets/ (with a trailing slash). By convention, all paths in MODx end in a trailing slash.

Thanks BobRay for trying to help, but this did not help.

Maybe some needed permission is missing in the Access Policy for that group? The Context web and mrg Policies for that group include both file_tree and file_manager. Anything else needed?

I think there is a bug that lets the user see only the files and folders *under* the filemanager_path but not the directory specified in filemanager_path. Would that explain your problem?

I’ve uploaded an image directly into the allowed folder. This can be seen be the user. But the user does not see the folders under the allowed one nor does he see the files, that are inside of them.

It sounds like a bug to me. I’ve already reported the bug I described, so it may be fixed in the development version.

                Thanks BobRay.

I don’t know if that is the intended behavior, but I had to add other file_... permission to the Access policy before the user could see the files under the allowed folder. Actually,I added all the file_ permissions.

I’m currently trying to get this to work with a context/subdomain. I’ll report if I have some success or other findings.
