modx->documentOutput alternative

This doc page http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/OnParseDocument states that we should use [tt]$modx->documentOutput[/tt] to retrieve the contents of the document within a plugin that fires on the OnParseDocument event. But [tt]$modx->documentOutput[/tt] is deprecated in Revo 2.1. What is the alternative? I tried using [tt]$modx->resource->_output[/tt], which didn’t work for me.

Use documentOutput for now.
